Natasha Watts Drops In to chat with Richie Tee about her Next Chapter

Ahead of Natasha’s Essex Album Launch at The Maritime Rooms, Cliff’s Pavilion Theatre,  Richie and Natasha take time out during rehearsals to discuss Natasha’s eagerly anticipated third solo album ‘My Next Chapter’ released on the 13th September 2018.  They talk exclusively about Natasha’s musical journey right from the early days at Theatre School and her mother’s early realisation that Natasha was Born A Star.

Immediately upon meeting Singer, Songwriter, Performer, Entertainer Natasha Watts, she has a unique way of making you feel totally at ease, as if you’ve been friends forever. No shoes, no make-up, no airs and graces, homemade food cooked for all to share, sitting there placing her own merchandise into the album launch goodie bags, you realise she has her feet firmly on the ground.

Although we were sitting in this fabulous theatre on Southend sea front, we could easily have been in Natasha’s own front room at home in Basingstoke. As Natasha explains in her own words “she doesn’t do fake and when she’s around it, she doesn’t like it. With Natasha, what you see is what you get. The road has not been easy but she has never lost sight of her goal but more importantly where she came from.

Natasha burst onto the UK Soul music scene back in 2009 with her first collaboration with Cool Million and a track called ‘Show me’. This was to form  the solid foundations which subsequently propelled Natasha to be revered as one of the most successful UK Soul Artists of our time!

Born A Star become the first release from Natasha’s self-titled seminal album released 2013 catapulting her into the hearts and souls of the UK soul scene.  Off the back of this album, Natasha become the support act for the Empress of Soul – Gladys Knight on Glady’s UK tour performing too well over 30,000 people up and down the UK.

Fast forward to 2018 – ‘My Next Chapter’, Natasha’s 3rd album charts her hopes, dreams, passion and regrets, delivered in a style that is becoming all her own.  Beautifully crafted songs such as L.O.V.E, It’s All Good,  Only You, ‘I Do, I Did, I’m Done’ and ‘Enjoy Yourself’ have already ensured that this is going to be Natasha’s most successful album to date and there is so much more to come
