Original South Londoner born in Balham in 1970, who cut his musical teeth on the likes of Top of the Pops, Radio Luxembourg and Capital Radio, before discovering the joy of clubbing in the early 90´s, at such venues as Ritzy´s in Kingston, the Hammersmith Palais, Le Cafe des Artistes, and the legendary Xenon (196 Piccadilly).
Began life on decks in 1991 at a couple of work functions, then via private parties, got his radio baptism in 2003, as his beloved AFC Wimbledon´s match reporter on the world-famous Radio Jackie, eventually allied with commercial voiceovers, as well as providing live match commentary on the Dons in-house internet station, Radio WDON.Television reporting & commentary work also materialised, courtesy of Channel 4 and Nuts TV.Mentored by fellow Dons fan and PA announcer Chris Philips (Kiss 100, Choice FM), regular experience followed in the form of "stadium host" duties at Kingsmeadow (PA announcer and DJ), before getting his radio presenting break in October 2008, initially as cover presenter, and then permanent host, of the Sunday morning "Soul Memories" show, on the ill-fated South London Radio 107.3FM, the last of which was broadcast on March 29th 2009, before station ownership problems forced the transmitters to sadly fall silent a few days later. Now back on the airwaves thanks to long-time acquaintance and fellow Zero jock Ian Holmes, Mike will be bringing you his own special blend of soul, disco, jazz-funk, soulful house and dance, reflecting his own years spent listening and partying to top tunes.... which aren´t over yet, he hastens to add....
