I grew up on Canvey Island, Essex, UK and first discovered real dance music at the legendary Goldmine when 15 years old (19??) on a Monday Night when I believe the young DJ was our own Colin Hudd, though it was a long time ago. Grew and progressed to the Saturday nights with Chris Hill & co. though was also a frequent punter to the Zero and other Essex clubs. However through the love of the music started DJing and became the club DJ at the Monico Niteclub, Canvey (1982-85) a stones throw from the Goldmine packed out weekends but never in competition with the Goldmine, then bought some gear to become a mobile DJ, more money, but playing mostly mainstream music to cater for all occasions. Now it is great to wipe the dust off my collection and discover great new Soul, Jazz and Funk to play and share with the World thanks to all at ZERORADIO.
