His first introduction to music was via a battery operated record deck where hole in my shoe was constantly played! MJ shivers at the thought! Thankfully MJ managed to slip away from the acid rock influence of the late 60s and begun a collection of late 70s and 80s soul... Phhheeew that was a close one!
Later in life MJ went through the usual hip hop / break dancing era, riding a BMX and all those retro things that have become a long distant memory... and eventually came out the other side loving the soulful vibe of the street sounds compilations! Influential radio stations such as Radio Caroline, Laser 558, Capital and of course the mighty Essex Radio were all popular at the time and made very good listening. However, one particular presenter on Essex Radio was John Leech who had the biggest impact with the music he played.
From then on MJ was hooked on the soulful tip and knew this was the way forward! MJ loved the work of musical legends such as Frankie Knuckles & Larry Levan, who pushed the soulful vibes into a house scene! Obviously many more names to mention, but you get the idea!
With all this in mind MJs Club Zero delivers you a seletion of soulful music, new & old, mixed to purrrfection on a weekly basis! Show features include MJs Classic Cuts, The Funky Sensation as well as MJs Dance Floor Movers! Why not check out Club Zero every Thursday from 6pm (uk).
